Paul Segre
President and Chief Executive Officer

As President and Chief Executive Officer for Genesys, Paul Segre is responsible for setting the company direction and managing global operations. Previously, Mr. Segre served as Chief Operating Officer.

Mr. Segre joined Genesys in 2002 as Chief Technology Officer, leading the company's engineering, product management, technical support and program management organizations. In August 2004, Mr. Segre was named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, responsible for operational management of our worldwide field operations which include sales and services.

Mr. Segre's distinguished career includes over 15 years of management experience in the network management and workforce management industry. Before joining Genesys, Mr. Segre was Vice President and General Manager of Alcatel's (now Alcatel-Lucent) Wireline Access business unit, the leading provider of next-generation Digital Loop Carrier products. Previously, Mr. Segre held the position of Vice President and General Manager of the Advanced Products Division for DSC and held various senior management positions at AT&T in network management and workforce management.

Mr. Segre holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a Master's degree in Operations Research from Stanford University.


Elliot Danziger
Customer Care

Mr. Danziger has the prime responsibility of ensuring customer care and satisfaction. Since joining Genesys in 1999, Mr. Danziger has held several executive leadership roles in the company including Sales Engineering and Worldwide Customer Services, a worldwide organization comprising of Professional Services, Technical Support and Genesys University. Most recently, Mr. Danziger served as Genesys' Chief Technology Officer, responsible for the company's technological direction, engineering, product management, technical support and program management activities.

Previously, Mr. Danziger was Vice President, North America Sales Engineering at Informix Software, Inc., where he led an organization of 140 engineers, supporting sales efforts of $425 million in revenue. As part of the advanced technology group at Informix, Mr. Danziger also managed a group of advanced engineers focused on strategic corporate initiatives worldwide.

Prior to joining Informix, Mr. Danziger held technical consulting positions at AT&T Bell Laboratories in New Jersey.


Nicolas de Kouchkovsky
Marketing and Business Development

Nicolas de Kouchkovsky brings more than 20 years of IT and Telecommunications industry experience to his position as Head of Marketing and Business Development for Genesys. He is currently responsible for driving the company's business opportunities and strategic direction; as well as guiding the company's marketing strategies, including product marketing, market development and marketing communications.

Mr. de Kouchkovsky joined Genesys in February 2000. As Vice President of Products and Strategy, he oversaw product management, product marketing and strategy while helping Genesys achieve a market leader position in the contact center software market.

Prior to joining Genesys, Mr. de Kouchkovsky spent seven years in both business and engineering senior management roles at Alcatel (now Alcatel-Lucent). Before joining Alcatel-Lucent, Mr. de Kouchkovsky was Chief Technology Officer at Cirel, a startup in the field of multi-protocol telecom gateways for LANs.

Mr. de Kouchkovsky earned a Masters degree in Math and Physics from Ecole Polytechnique in Palaiseau. He also holds a Masters in Robotics and Data Processing from Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Techniques Avancées in Paris.


David Sudbey
Strategic Solutions

Mr. Sudbey has worldwide responsibility for strategic initiatives, with a mandate to drive these initiatives towards mainstream success and further add to Genesys competitive differentiation.

Mr. Sudbey joined Genesys in 1997 and has held a variety of roles in senior management. Most recently, since 2004, Mr. Sudbey had responsibility for Worldwide Services and prior to that, he managed Genesys' Americas Sales Engineering Organization. Mr. Sudbey brings more than 20 years of experience in the contact center and telecommunications industries to his current position. Prior to Genesys, he spent 14 years at Nortel Networks in various sales and services positions and also led a call center applications team that focused on emerging call center technologies, selling and installing Genesys products.

Mr. Sudbey graduated from Wentworth Technology Institute (formerly GTE Sylvania Technical Institute) Telecommunications Program and Harvard Business School's General Manager program.


Vyacheslav Zhakov
Engineering

Mr. Zhakov is responsible for the company's product research and development activities. He joined Genesys in 1998 as part of the system team responsible for the architecture of the Genesys suite and was appointed Vice President of Framework Engineering in March 2004.

Prior to joining Genesys, Mr. Zhakov was a founder of a software development company "Program-Technique", which he started with two colleagues in 1988. At the same time, he was teaching as a Professor at the St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation, for a period of ten years from 1988-1998.

Mr. Zhakov holds a Masters in Computer Science and a Doctorate from St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation. Mr. Zhakov has been a member of the Alcatel Technical Academy since 2003.


Stuart Granger
Informiam Product Line

Stuart Granger is responsible for the management and direction of the Informiam Product Line. Prior to the Genesys acquisition, Stuart was a founding member, President and COO of Informiam where he led company strategy and growth.

Previous to Informiam, Mr. Granger served as a member of the senior management team as Vice President of Operations and Technology for the European Division of S1 Corporation. This Division accounted for 20% of the S1 Corporation's $300 million in revenue. While at S1, Stuart also directed Global Customer Service and Support, responsible for supporting more than 3800 clients. A veteran of the technology industry, Stuart's experience includes positions as Executive Vice President and CIO for Security First Technologies and senior technology roles with IBM, Lotus Development Corporation and Financial Software, Inc.

Mr. Granger holds a B.A. in Management Information Systems from Georgia Southern University and an M.B.A. from the Executive MBA program at Georgia State University.


Bill Behrend
Finance

As Chief Financial Officer, Bill Behrend leads a team of professionals responsible for our global financial initiatives and corporate finance functions. He provides overall direction for the company's planning and budgeting, accounting and financial reporting, field finance operations and financial management systems. In addition, he oversees compensation, order management, licensing, acquisition integration and facilities.

Mr. Behrend joined Genesys in 2000, serving as Controller for the Americas Region and later was the Vice President of Field Operations. During his tenure at Genesys, he has streamlined back office operations and integrated systems to increase accuracy and usability, leading to improved financial reporting and budget processes. He has also provided the financial direction as the company moved from a product sale focus to a comprehensive solutions approach.

Prior to joining the Genesys team, Bill was previously with Informix Software in Menlo Park, CA as the Controller for North America.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois and a Master’s of Business Administration in Finance from DePaul University.  Mr. Behrend is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Illinois CPA Society..


Jim René
General Counsel

Jim René is General Counsel of Genesys. Mr. René joined the Legal Department of Alcatel (now Alcatel-Lucent), the parent company of Genesys, in 2000, serving as General Counsel of the West Coast region. In 2003, he was appointed Senior Vice President and General Counsel for the North America region. He also served as the company’s Chief Compliance Officer for North America. Following the merger of Alcatel and Lucent in late 2006, Mr. René was appointed and currently serves as Deputy General Counsel for the combined company.

Prior to joining Alcatel, Mr. René was a partner with Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton in Los Angeles, California, where he specialized in corporate and securities law matters. His practice focused on representing public and private companies in state and federal securities law matters, registration of securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters.

Mr. René received his Bachelor's degree from Occidental College in Los Angeles and spent a year in Germany as a Fulbright Scholar where he earned the Certificate of European Studies from The Europe Institute, University of the Saarland. Upon returning to the U.S., he received an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and his law degree from Cornell Law School.


Susan Deady
Human Resources and Internal Communications

Susan Deady leads the worldwide Human Resources and Internal Communications team. She has responsibility for the Genesys people strategy and serves as a business partner to senior leadership. She is accountable for the company's investment in employee compensation, benefits, recruitment and training. Susan serves on the Human Resources Executive Committee of Alcatel-Lucent, the parent company of Genesys.

With extensive experience in multi-national management and consulting, Susan has a proven record of improving organizational performance through skillful Human Resources management. Prior to joining Genesys, Susan served as Director of International Human Resources for Yahoo! Inc., where she guided HR across 17 countries to support global business growth. Under her leadership, the Yahoo International HR team completed significant acquisitions in China and Europe. Susan also served as Vice President of International HR for ClubCorp, the world's largest owner of country clubs, golf courses and private resorts, where she designed and introduced the first international compensation and benefits program to support the company's expansion.

Susan attended the University of Texas at Dallas and Menlo College.


Dean Samuels
Chief Information Officer

As Chief Information Officer for Genesys, Dean Samuels leads the strategy for enterprise systems that support global business operations for employees, partners, and customers. As a partner on the Genesys management team, Mr. Samuels leverages technology to grow business, improve process efficiency, and return value on IT investments.

With a career of 25 years in IT and Telecommunications, Mr. Samuels recently led CIO service initiatives at Citigroup, Microsoft, Deloitte, and EMC, by providing leadership for strategic IT transformations and complex technology transitions featuring emerging Unified Communications platforms integrated with telephony applications.

He also served as Chief Technology Officer of Achieva, (now Kaplan), a Silicon Valley education Software-as-a-Service startup, dedicated to improving college entrance options for high school students by developing award-winning, media-rich, online eLearning products for America's schools.

Mr. Samuels founded NT Consulting Inc. in 1992, to provide network engineering and IT technology education to Visa, Bank of America, Blue Cross, Citigroup, Microsoft, HP, and numerous other Fortune 500 companies.
